Digits™ is a Reverse Polish Notation (RPN) calculator for Apple's iPhone and iPod touch that knows which end is up. You can even turn it upside down and it will right itself. We've always wanted a calculator that can do that!
When you first start up Digits™, you will be presented with a key panel for basic arithmetic. Turn your iPhone or iPod touch on its side to access a wide range of scientific and statistical functions. A sliding traction bar gives you access to the buttons that provide extended functionality. Just drag the bar with your fingertip to reveal the rest of Digits' keys.
Digits™ has been designed to be comfortable for users of legacy RPN calculators, but it is not a clone of one. Experienced RPN users will not need to read the manual to get started. Those new to RPN will find our implementation easy to learn.

Digits™ is not restricted to a fixed four register stack. We have combined the power of a modern arbitrary-length stack with the simplicity of the legacy RPN design. Digits™ offers the ubiquitous lastX key, and also provides a lastY key for those who have craved it for 35 years.
A popular trick with the four register RPN stack has been replaced with automatic chaining from lastX™, an exclusive feature of Digits™. Our method produces a numeric or geometric progression easily and is available for a wide range of operations.
Despite its ease of use, Digits™ is a sophisticated calculator and has a few features that need explanation. We provide a detailed manual that shows how to use our product, documenting the advanced features of the calculator application.
Digits™ offers a preferences pane. It allows you to choose the number display format and the number of digits after the decimal point you want to show, amongst other things.
Digits™ offers a display where you can view and manipulate the entire stack with your finger. So if you've ever wanted to do something other than switch the X and Y registers, you can.
